Sagra Re-opens to Record Crowds

The Famous 'Sagra del Boscaiolo' opened again this year to record crowds on it's first night, feeding nearly 720 diners on it's opening night.

The Sagra traditionally held in the last week of August draws people in from miles around, attracted by the authentic 'Machianese' combination of authentic traditional rustic village cuisine, excellent local ingredients, abundant local wine and festivities. Must try local specialities include Polenta alla Carbonara, Chingiale (wild boar) either in a  ragu served with hand rolled tagliatelle or as an aromatic warming stew. After you meal there is music to be enjoyed, but remember to get there early as there will be queues and food has been known to run out completely!
